Steven Skultety is Professor of Philosophy, Chair of the Department of Philosophy & Religion, and Director of the Declaration of Independence Center for the Study of American Freedom at the University of Mississippi. He received his PhD from Northwestern University in 2006.
Research Interests: Focus on Aristotle’s political philosophy, virtue theory, republicanism, and democratic theory, with long-term work tracking arguments about interpersonal conflict from Presocratics to Stoics. His scholarship bridges classical and modern ethical frameworks.
