Steven M. Gorelick is the Cyrus F. Tolman Chaired Professor in the Department of Earth System Science at Stanford University's Doerr School of Sustainability. He directs the Global Freshwater Initiative, which has active and past projects in India, Mexico, Vietnam, and Jordan.
His research focuses on critical areas including water security, groundwater management, ecohydrology, water resources, water resources vulnerability in developing regions, and contaminant remediation.
