Steven Lovett

Dr. Steven Lovett is an Associate Professor at Emporia State University, specializing in business law and ethics. He holds a Juris Doctorate from St. Mary's University (1999) and has over 20 years of legal practice in Texas and New Mexico, alongside six years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve (infantry). He teaches online MBA courses, including BU 573: Law of Commerce, focusing on contracts, sales law, property law, and bankruptcy law.

His research interests span corporate governance, legal ethics, and business ethics, reflected in his authored works: Corporate Counsel: Practice Basics (2013) and Applied Business Ethics, 2nd Ed.
