Steven LaValle

Steven LaValle is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois. He holds degrees from the same institution and has held roles at Stanford University, Iowa State University, and Tecnológico de Monterrey. Currently on leave, he works as Principal Scientist at Oculus VR. His research focuses on robotics, planning algorithms, and related theoretical and practical challenges. He has received several awards, including the University Scholar distinction and the Distinguished Alumni Service Award. His work includes authoring two books and numerous publications in his field.
