Steven J. Stack, MD, MBA, is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville's Haslam College of Business, where he lectures on healthcare policy and advocacy in the Physician Executive MBA (PEMBA) program. He currently serves as Commissioner of the Kentucky Department for Public Health and Chief Medical Officer for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, focusing on public health transformation, workforce development, and health equity. With over 19 years as a board-certified emergency physician, he has held leadership roles in national organizations, including the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO).
