About
Steven Hunt is a Professor of Biblical & Theological Studies at Gordon College, part of the School of Ministry, Theology and Biblical Studies. He holds a B.A. from Northwestern College, an M.C.S. from Regent College, and a Ph.D. from the University of Sheffield. His research focuses on the literary analysis of the Gospel of John and socio-rhetorical approaches to Paul’s letters, with a particular interest in intertextual echoes within these texts.
Recent collaborative works include Character Studies in the Fourth Gospel (co-authored with D. Francois Tolmie and Ruben Zimmermann) and Rewriting the Feeding of Five Thousand. He is currently developing online courses on the New Testament and Romans, and has engaged students in research projects resulting in co-authored publications. Hunt actively participates in the Society of Biblical Literature and mentors students at conferences.
Outside academia, he enjoys outdoor activities, travel, and has conducted research in Italy. He is planning future trips to Greece and Turkey.
