Steven Hoskins

Steven Hoskins is Professor of Religion at Trevecca Nazarene University's School of Theology and Christian Ministry. An ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, he serves as church historian for the MidSouth District. His academic credentials include a B.A. from Trevecca Nazarene University, M.Div. from Nazarene Theological Seminary, M.A. from St. Louis University, and Ph.D. from Middle Tennessee State University.

Research expertise encompasses:

• Christian historical development
• Methodist theological traditions
• Public history applications

Honors include:

• Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Alpha Theta memberships
• James K. Huhta Fellowship
• Bart McCash Prize for Historical Excellence

Dr. Hoskins has consulted for museums including the Green-McAdoo Civil Rights Museum, directed AASLH's Project Management for History Professionals (2008-2017), and serves as president of the Wesleyan Historical Society and editor for the Charles Wesley Society.
