Steven Gagner is a full-time Lecturer at the Grossman School of Business, University of Vermont. He holds an MBA in Finance from Norwich University (2017) and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. His research focuses on Leadership Development and Strategic Planning. In 2023-2024, he was honored as Professor of the Year by GSB students.
Military Career: Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with 28 years of service. Notable assignments included commanding an Infantry Reconnaissance Company, leading the U.S. Army Mountain Warfare School, and serving as Assistant Professor of Military Science at Norwich University. Awards include the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars, and induction into the Orders of Saint Maurice (Infantry) and Saint George (Cavalry).
Entrepreneurial Achievements: Recognized as Vermont’s Business Person of the Year (SBA, 2019), Entrepreneur of the Year (Military Times, 2018), and featured on Vermont Life magazine (2016) and SBA’s Resource Guide (2019).
Office Hours: Mondays/Fridays 12–1 PM, Thursdays 11 AM–1 PM, or by appointment.
