Steven Fleming

Steven Fleming is Professor of Instruction and Faculty Advisor in Temple University's Department of Chemistry (College of Science and Technology). He holds a Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin and completed postdoctoral research at Colorado State University.

Research specializes in chemical education tool development, including co-authorship of the textbook 'Organic Chemistry, 5th Edition' and creation of Organic Reaction Animations (ORA) and Bio-Organic Reaction Animations (BioORA) software for teaching reaction mechanisms and enzyme chemistry.

Awards include the Dean's Distinguished Teaching Award (2011) and ACS Fellowship (2015). Teaches Organic Chemistry courses at undergraduate/graduate levels, including spectroscopic identification of molecules.
