Dr. Steven Firth is a Reader in Building Performance Modelling at Loughborough University's School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering. He holds an MEng, MSc, PhD, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and the Institute of Engineering (MEI). His research focuses on end-use energy demand in buildings, occupant behavior, smart home technologies, and open science initiatives in building energy research.
He has led or co-led eight EU and RCUK-funded projects totaling £13M, including the TEDDINET and Design4Energy initiatives.
