Steven C. Frautschi

Steven C. Frautschi is Emeritus Professor of Theoretical Physics at Caltech, where he served on the faculty for over four decades. He joined Caltech in 1962 as Assistant Professor, advancing to full Professor in 1966.

Dr. Frautschi held significant administrative roles including Executive Officer for Physics (1988-1997) and Master of Student Houses (1997-2002). His career at Caltech encompassed both theoretical physics research and extensive contributions to academic leadership and student development.
