Steven Binz

Steven Binz is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Physics Department at Salisbury University, where he has been since Fall 2017. His educational background includes a PhD in Physics from Iowa State University and a BS in Computer Science and Physics from Bradley University.

Research Focus: Dr. Binz specializes in augmented reality applications for physics education and research. His current projects involve:

• Developing AR solutions to enhance physics learning experiences
• Utilizing Microsoft HoloLens for 3D model digitization in geomorphic morphometrics
• Collaborating with international researchers on immersive technology applications

Collaborations: He maintains active research partnerships with Dr. Berns (Salisbury University) and Dr. Antonio Cordero (University of Tuebingen), focusing on advanced visualization techniques.
