Dr. Steven J. Barnes is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, within the Faculty of Arts. He holds a MA (2000) and PhD (2004) in Behavioral Neuroscience from UBC. His roles include deputy co-lead of the Collaborative RESearch Team for Bipolar Disorder (CREST.BD) and founder of the Undergraduate Program in Neuroscience.
Research focuses on online learning technologies (e.g., Tapestry Project), bipolar disorder, student mental health, and science communication.
