Steve Wildsmith

Steve Wildsmith serves as Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications and Adjunct Instructor at Maryville College. He transitioned from a 25-year journalism career—including 18 years at The Daily Times of Maryville—to communications roles in 2022. His responsibilities include press release writing, media relations, social media oversight, and editing College publications like FOCUS magazine and the President’s Report.

He holds a B.A. in English/Journalism from Tennessee Technological University and is a member of the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame. Wildsmith teaches journalism as an adjunct and advises The Highland Echo student newspaper.
