Steve Warren is a Professor and Robert and Becca Reichenberger Cornerstone Teaching Scholar in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Kansas State University. He holds Ph.D. (1994) and M.S. (1991) degrees from University of Texas at Austin and University of Kansas (1991), and B.S. from K-State (1989). With prior experience at Sandia National Labs, he directs the Medical Component Design Laboratory.
Research focuses on:
- Plug-and-play medical monitoring with interoperability standards
- Wearable health sensors for humans/animals
- Educational technologies for engineering
Warren teaches biomedical instrumentation and signals courses, developing the Bioengineering Option curriculum. His instructional innovations include NSF-funded portable instrumentation kits and autism assistive technology projects.
