Steve Preston

Steve Preston is an Adjunct Professor at the Spitzer School of Architecture, City College of New York (CUNY). He holds an M.Arch. from MIT (2010) and advanced degrees in Structural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin (M.S., 2006; B.S., 2004). Preston is an Associate at GLUCK+ Architecture in New York, combining professional practice with academia since 2011. He has taught at CCNY since 2019 and mentors design and construction projects through AIAS Freedom by Design. Licensed as an architect in New York State, his work bridges structural engineering expertise with architectural design.

His professional experience spans structural systems integration, sustainable building practices, and urban design. Preston contributes to the school’s focus on innovative design through teaching and advising roles, reflecting his dual commitment to education and practice.
