Steve L. Lerner, Ph.D., is a Teaching Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering Program at Southern Methodist University. He holds ten US patents and has extensive corporate leadership experience as CTO and SVP at Praxair, Inc. (now Linde). His research focuses on thermal systems design, sustainability, corporate innovation practices, and medical devices.
Education: Ph.D. (Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Princeton University), B.S. (Mechanical Engineering, Cooper Union), Executive Program (Stanford University).
