Steve Cannon is a Senior Lecturer in Film Studies at the University of Sunderland, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries. He has been with the institution since 1989, initially as a Lecturer in French before transitioning to Film Studies in 2000. He holds a BA (Hons) in Humanities from Wolverhampton Polytechnic and a PhD in French Cinema from Aston University.
