Steve Callander

Steve Callander is the Herbert Hoover Professor of Public and Private Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, with courtesy appointments as Professor of Economics and Political Science in the School of Humanities and Sciences. He co-directs the Strategy Beyond Markets initiative and contributes to the Policy and Innovation Initiative, focusing on the intersection of politics, markets, and strategic business-government-society interactions.

• Research Focus: Political economy, competitive advantage through government relations, and crisis management.
• Teaching: MBA courses on Strategy Beyond the Market, Innovation in the Energy Industry, and Leadership and Strategic Crisis Management.
