Stephen White

Stephen White is an Associate Professor in the Theatre Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, specializing in Design & Production. He holds an MFA in Stage Design from Northwestern University and a BFA in Technology & Design from Illinois Wesleyan University.

His professional work spans theatre companies including Skylight Music Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, and Peninsula Players. He integrates emerging technologies into visual storytelling and leads the USITT Lighting Studio's experiential research lab. He teaches courses like Intro to Production & Design and Lighting Studio.

Steve mentors students and advises new theatre facility projects such as Ten Chimneys’ program center. His design for Woman in Black earned a Joseph Jefferson nomination.
