Stephen Van Duin

Stephen van Duin is Associate Professor and Principal Fellow at the University of Wollongong's School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering. As Program Leader for Maritime Platforms at DMTC Ltd, he advances naval manufacturing technologies. His research develops robotic automation solutions for additive manufacturing, welding systems, and industrial control.

Van Duin's Facility for Intelligent Fabrication conducts industry-focused research across mining, defense, and steel sectors. Recent awards recognize defense innovation achievements. Teaching emphasizes Industry 4.0 implementation, additive manufacturing, and naval engineering principles.
