Stephen R. Munzer

Stephen R. Munzer is a Distinguished Research Professor of Law at UCLA School of Law, affiliated with the Department of Law. He has been part of the UCLA faculty since 1982, teaching Contracts, Property, legal philosophy, and biotechnology courses. His research spans auditory perception, philosophy of religion, moral/political philosophy, and legal theory.

Research interests include legal philosophy, biotechnology ethics, and property theory. He authored A Theory of Property (1990) and edited New Essays in the Legal and Political Theory of Property (2001). His work on biotechnology was honored by the American Philosophical Association in 2009.
