Stephen Pierce

Stephen Pierce is an Associate Professor of History at Indiana Wesleyan University, affiliated with the Division of Social Sciences. He teaches world history, historical theory, African history, and Middle Eastern history. His research focuses on East African society and Islam, particularly Muslim charitable institutions in Swahili society using colonial archives and oral histories.
