Stephen Olsen

Stephen Olsen is a Professor at Villanova University's School of Law and serves as the Faculty Director of the Graduate Tax Program. He is also Of Counsel at Gawthrop Greenwood, PC, where he focuses on tax planning, trust and estate planning, and business transactions. Notably, he is one of Pennsylvania's few private-practice attorneys with extensive experience advising medical marijuana operators.

Oelsen's research and professional work spans Tax Law, Business & Real Estate Law, Cannabis Law, and Trusts & Estates. He is a co-founder of the influential tax procedure blog Procedurally Taxing and a contributing author to the seminal treatise IRS Practice and Procedure (Rev. 2d ed., WG&L 2002). His career includes leadership roles in public service initiatives, such as the Wills for Heroes program and the Chester County Community Foundation's Imprints program.
