Prof Stephen Nicholls is a world-renowned cardiologist and academic leader, serving as Professor of Cardiology at the University of Adelaide and Director of MonashHeart at Monash University. He concurrently holds roles as Deputy Director and Heart Health Theme Leader at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and Principal Research Fellow at the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia (NHMRC).
His research focuses on translational strategies to reduce cardiovascular disease risk, including lipid-lowering therapies, genomic risk stratification, and clinical trial design for hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis.
