Stephen Muir, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Providence. He holds a B.A. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Whitman College (2003) and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of North Texas (2011). His research focuses on integrating undergraduate math curricula to enhance career-readiness in applied mathematics fields. He develops educational software tools using Octave and GeoGebra and shares these innovations with secondary educators through the MFPE meetings.
