Dr. Stephen Kareha is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at DeSales University's College of Healthcare Professions. He holds certifications as a board-certified orthopedic specialist (OCS), NATABOC certified athletic trainer (ATC), certified Mulligan practitioner (CMP), NSCA certified strength & conditioning specialist (CSCS), and APTA credentialed clinical instructor (CCI). With over 14 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, he directs St. Luke’s University Health Network Orthopaedic Residency and Spine Fellowship programs.

Dr. Kareha's research focuses on enhancing patient outcomes through improved diagnostic classification, provider-client therapeutic alliance, and efficiency in patient experience. He directs student research projects in musculoskeletal differential diagnosis and examination while serving as a journal reviewer and ABPTRFE task group chair for Spine Fellowship development.
He teaches principles of therapeutic exercise, advanced orthopedics, pain neuroscience, and statistics in the DPT program. As Director of St. Luke’s outpatient rehabilitation continuing education department, he contributes to clinical training frameworks and multidisciplinary spine care initiatives.
