Stephen Foster

Stephen Foster serves as Director of Bands and Assistant Professor of Music at Faulkner University since 2014. His academic affiliations include roles in music education and ensemble direction. He holds a B.M.E. from Middle Tennessee State University, M.M. from Belmont University, Ed.S. in Supervision and Instruction from Tennessee Technological University, and Ed.S./Ed.D. from Union University.

With over 35 years of teaching experience (since 1984), he has instructed students from kindergarten through college levels in general music, vocal music, and instrumental music. He maintains active membership in the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), Alabama Bandmasters Association, and Alabama Music Educators Association. His primary instrument is trumpet.
