Stephen Burgess

Stephen Burgess is a Principal Research Associate and Programme Leader in the MRC Biostatistics Unit at the University of Cambridge, with affiliations to the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit. He specializes in developing statistical methods for Mendelian randomization and causal inference using genetic data.

• Education: BA and MMath in Mathematics (University of Cambridge), PhD in Biostatistics (MRC Biostatistics Unit)

Research Interests focus on:

• Mendelian randomization analysis
• Genetic epidemiology
• Instrumental variable methods
