Stephen Bunnell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Immunology at Tufts University School of Medicine. His research focuses on T cell signaling complexes and their dynamic regulation during activation, utilizing advanced imaging and biochemical techniques. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University (1998) and a B.A. from Cornell University (1990).

His research explores the assembly, localization, and functional implications of signaling microclusters in T cells, with a focus on proteins critical for complex stability and signal generation. Recent projects include studies on polyubiquitin scaffolds, vesicle transport, and innate immune receptors in dendritic cells and neutrophils. His work bridges imaging, biochemistry, and functional assays to elucidate mechanisms underlying T cell activation and immune dysfunction.
