Stephen Bowling

Stephen Bowling is a Professor at Southwest Baptist University, where he has been actively involved in mathematical research and mentoring. His work focuses on functional analysis and semigroup algebras, with a significant publication in Semigroup Forum in 1998.

His research interests span cohomology on Banach semigroup algebras and operator theory. He has served as a faculty mentor for students presenting mathematics research at conferences in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2016, and was the Goldwater Faculty Representative for Southwest Baptist University.

Stephen Bowling earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, an M.S. in Mathematics from the same institution, and dual B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Engineering (Electrical Option) from John Brown University.

His academic contributions include collaborations with Dr. John Duncan and presentations at prestigious meetings like the Joint Mathematics Meetings (1996) and the Oklahoma-Arkansas Section meeting of the MAA.
