Stephanie Yoon

Stephanie Yoon, M.D., is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at City of Hope. Her clinical expertise spans central nervous system cancers, brain and spine tumors, pediatric cancers, and breast cancer. She specializes in precision radiation techniques such as stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT/SABR), focusing on minimizing healthy tissue exposure while maximizing tumor dosage.

Dr. Yoon’s academic contributions include over a dozen peer-reviewed studies and clinical trial design expertise. Her research emphasizes improving cancer treatment outcomes through advanced imaging, dosimetry optimization, and quality-of-life metrics. She has pioneered work in prostate bed recurrence management, glioma radiosensitization, and brain metastasis distribution patterns based on genetic mutations.

Her educational background includes an M.D. from Temple University (2017), M.S. in Radiation Oncology from UCLA (2022), and B.S. in Biology from MIT (2011). She completed her residency at UCLA and internal medicine internship at Abington-Jefferson Health. Dr. Yoon actively advocates for diversity in medicine, holding leadership roles in the Radiosurgery Society and Society for Women in Radiation Oncology.

Her recent publications highlight advancements in MRI-guided adaptive radiotherapy, radiation-induced toxicity mitigation, and precision oncology strategies for prostate and breast cancers.
