Stephanie Welsh

Dr. Stephanie Welsh is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Carson-Newman University. She holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Florida Atlantic University, with prior degrees including an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Northern Illinois University and a dual B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Spanish from Olivet Nazarene University. Her research focuses on bilingual language development, attention mechanisms, and perceptual processes. Dr. Welsh teaches courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and Statistics. She actively uses SPSS syntax in her academic work.

Professional roles include directing institutional effectiveness initiatives, ensuring academic program evaluation and accreditation standards at the university.
