Dr. Stephanie Torres Rodriguez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Nephrology. She joined the faculty in 2021 and serves as the Executive Associate Program Director and Education Coordinator for the Nephrology Fellowship Program. Additionally, she is part of the Fellowship and Residency Recruitment Committees.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine. Her advanced training in nephrology was conducted via a fellowship at UT Southwestern, during which she served as Chief Fellow and received the Outstanding Nephrology Fellow Award.
Her clinical interests focus on general nephrology, acute kidney injury, home dialysis, and medical education. She actively contributes to advancing these fields through presentations and educational initiatives.
Dr. Torres Rodriguez is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds leadership roles in professional organizations such as the American Medical Association, American Society of Nephrology, and National Kidney Foundation.
