Stephanie Spindler

Stephanie Spindler is an Instructor of Foundations & Drawing at the School of Art and Design, University of Northern Colorado, within the College of Performing and Visual Arts. Her work explores intersectional themes in feminist art, post-humanism, and material ethics.

• MA in Art from Colorado State University (Fort Collins, CO)
• Ph.D. in Art Practice from the University of the Arts (Chelsea College of Art, London, UK)

Her research integrates feminist theory, post-humanism, and materiality, focusing on how objects and bodies interact in artistic practice. She examines the ethical dimensions of corporeality and speculative futures through performative, immersive, and transformative art forms.

Spindler’s publications reflect her engagement with feminist physics, sculptural metaphors, and phenomenological frameworks. Her work often challenges traditional boundaries between art, philosophy, and science, using unconventional materials like cardboard to explore metaphorical and post-humanist themes.
