Stephanie Neary

Stephanie Neary, PhD, MPA, MMS, PA-C, is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Yale School of Medicine's PA Online Program, serving as Director of Didactic Education and Program Analyst. She holds academic roles including course director for Behavioral/Preventive Medicine and Basic Science courses, and chairs the Progress Committee. Dr. Neary's expertise spans physician assistant education, student well-being, and social determinants of health. Her research focuses on clinical health professions education, student flourishing, and burnout prevention, with notable contributions to policy advocacy around parental leave and mental health support in healthcare training programs.

Dr. Neary earned a PhD in Nursing Science (2024) from the Medical University of South Carolina, an MPA in Healthcare Management (2013) from Grand Canyon University, and an MMS in Physician Assistant Studies (2015) from Midwestern University. She is licensed by the NCCPA and has held adjunct faculty roles at Grand Canyon University, Northern Arizona University, and AT Still University. Her textbook Clinical Medicine for Physician Assistants (Springer, 2022) is a key educational resource.
