Stephanie L. Fitch

Stephanie L. Fitch is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T). She joined S&T in 1997 and held joint appointments in Management Systems (1999–2001) and Business and Information Technology (2001–2003), becoming the first faculty member in the latter department. Since 2010, she has been permanently affiliated with Mathematics and Statistics. Her expertise includes Student Success, Academic Advising, and Math Placement.

Dr. Fitch has pioneered initiatives such as campuswide online teaching evaluations and the Fast Track summer math program for new students. She is a member of the Mathematical Association of America and the National Academic Advising Association.

Awards: Notable recognitions include the 2015 Missouri S&T Outstanding Teaching Award, multiple nominations for student-impact awards, and the 2020 Faculty Appreciation Award.

Advising & Leadership: She serves as Mathematics Placement Advisor and has held roles central to academic advising and curriculum development. Her work emphasizes bridging educational access through innovative programs like Fast Track.
