Stephanie Geise is a full Professor in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Bremen, where she holds the Chair of Communication and Media Studies with a focus on digital communication since 2021. She leads the Political Communication and Innovative Methods Lab, specializing in multimodal media message analysis and political media effects.
Her research explores how political content (e.g., news, election ads, fake news) shapes public perception and action through methods like eye tracking, automated emotion recognition, and computational communication science. She previously held postdoctoral positions at the University of Erfurt and a DFG-funded research project at Münster University.
