Dr. Stephanie Farrell is the Founding Department Head and Experiential Engineering Education Professor at Rowan University's Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering. With a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from NJIT and degrees from Stevens Institute of Technology and UPenn, her work advances inclusive pedagogy and equity in engineering through research, education, and advocacy focused on historically underserved groups.
Her research disrupts educational inequalities and develops communities of practice. Recent publications integrate DEIJ principles into civil engineering curricula and analyze sociocultural learning frameworks. She leads national initiatives like REDTED (Rethinking Engineering Diversity) and the STEM Academic Intersectional Gender Equity project.
Honors include:

- Nikolai Tesla Award for International Pedagogy (2018)
