Stephanie Boddie

Dr. Stephanie Boddie is an Associate Professor in the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University, with affiliations in the George W. Truett Theological Seminary and the School of Education. She holds a PhD and MSW from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on faith-based social services, racial health disparities, and community-based solutions to poverty and inequality.

Her edited volumes include Racialized Health, COVID-19, and Religious Responses and Urban Ministry Reconsidered.

Dr. Boddie’s research highlights systemic racism’s impact on health and community resilience. She has been a Villanova Church Management Fellow and holds affiliations with institutions like the University of Pennsylvania’s PRRUCS and Washington University’s Center for Social Development.
