About
Stephan Rosswog is a Professor of Theoretical Astrophysics of Compact Objects at the University of Hamburg, affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences and the Department of Physics (Hamburg Observatory). His research focuses on neutron star structure, quark matter physics, and tidal interactions in the Galactic Centre involving supermassive black holes.
- Current research includes modeling neutron star equations of state with piecewise polytropes and quark matter transitions
- Investigates enigmatic gaseous/dusty sources near Sgr A* via Newtonian/hydrodynamic simulations
