Stephan Lothar Thomsen

Prof. Stephan Thomsen chairs Economic Policy at Leibniz University Hannover and leads the Centre for Policy Studies. His research evaluates socioeconomic policies through advanced econometric methods, with foci on education reforms, labor market dynamics, and migration impacts. Funded projects include DFG studies on adult education effectiveness and Bologna Process outcomes.

He teaches econometrics and policy evaluation, supervising doctoral researchers in labor economics. Collaborations include ZEW Mannheim and IZA Bonn.
