About
Stephan Handschuh-Wang is an Assistant Professor at the School of New Materials and New Energies, Shenzhen Technology University. He earned his Ph.D. in natural sciences (Chemistry) from the University of Siegen (Germany) in 2016, following a Master's and Bachelor's in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Dortmund Technology University. His research focuses on liquid metals, surface and colloidal chemistry, and diamond coatings.
- Ph.D.: University of Siegen (2016)
- Master's: Dortmund Technology University (2010)
- Bachelor's: Dortmund Technology University (2006)
His work explores liquid metal applications in stretchable circuits, surface tension manipulation, and diamond-coated composites. Recent studies include self-assembled liquid metal nanodroplets and anti-freezing hydrogels. He serves as a guest editor for the Journal Materials and has secured funding from the National Foreign Experts Program.
Scientific Awards:
- National Foreign Experts Program - Foreign Young Talent Program (RMB 150,000)
With over 77 publications (H-index 30), his research spans materials for flexible electronics, water treatment, and biomedical applications. Current projects apply liquid metals to wearable electronics and transient circuits.
