Prof. Dr. phil. Stephan Beetz is a faculty member at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences in the Faculty of Social Work. He holds the academic rank of Professor and has been affiliated with the institution since 2009. His responsibilities include research, teaching, and leadership roles such as being a dean and member of various committees including the Senate, Faculty Council, Study Commission, and Doctoral Committee.

Stephan Beetz has worked extensively as a lecturer and volunteer in adult education. He serves on advisory boards for organizations including the Institute for Cooperative Studies at HU Berlin, Future Center Holzminden-Höxter, Association of Youth Leisure Centres (AGJF) Saxony eV, SMS Social Places funding program, and the Cultural Promotion Advisory Board of Saxony. He is also co-editor of the Journal of Agricultural History and Agricultural Sociology.
