Steffi Hofer

Steffi Hofer is a Professor at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK), specializing in voice and text training within the Faculty of Performing Arts. Her academic background includes studies in Speech Science and Phonetics, supplemented by expertise in Linguistics, German as a Foreign Language (DaF), and the Talmi Method®. She has held roles as a voice coach at the Burgtheater and interim head of the Acting Program at MUK. Notable achievements include a 2024 Dramatic Arts stipend from Vienna City, nomination for Ars Docendi (2021), and authorship of the influential book series Das handelnde Sprechen. Her research focuses on spatial communication dynamics, breath control, and artistic vocal expression.
