Steffen Staab

Steffen Staab is a full professor at the University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany) for Databases and Information Systems and at the University of Southampton (UK) for Web and Computer Science.

• Education: Studied Computer Science and Computational Linguistics at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany), University of Pennsylvania (USA), and University of Freiburg (Germany).

Research Interests: Span a wide range of fields, including Ontologies, Semantic Web, Social Web, Data Engineering, Text Mining, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Software Modelling, and Programming. His work focuses on improving how text and data are understood and utilized across domains.
