Stefano Podestà

Stefano Podestà is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil, Chemical, and Environmental Engineering (DICCA) at the University of Genoa. He serves as the Rector's Delegate for the Structural Area at the San Martino-Sturla Territorial Center and for Facility Management at the San Martino Campus.

His research focuses on seismic vulnerability assessment, heritage conservation, and structural restoration, particularly for historical masonry and timber constructions. He has contributed to guidelines for timber construction and the seismic evaluation of cultural landmarks like the Flavian Amphitheater in Rome.

His recent publications highlight trends in heritage conservation, seismic resilience, and timber engineering, with applications to churches, historical buildings, and monumental structures.
