Stefano Algieri is an Associate Professor of Voice at McGill University's Schulich School of Music. An internationally celebrated tenor, he has performed leading roles at major opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, Opéra Bastille, and Barcelona's Liceu.
His repertoire spans dramatic and lyric tenor roles in Italian, German, French, and Russian languages. Professor Algieri teaches bel canto technique and has authored a pedagogical treatise on vocal artistry. The Mariana Paunova and Stefano Algieri Scholarship in Voice supports exceptional vocal students at McGill.
Current students have won major competitions and joined prestigious young artist programs. Professor Algieri maintains an active masterclass schedule at institutions worldwide.
