Dr. Stefania Chiappini is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Hertfordshire's Psychopharmacology, Drug Misuse and Novel Psychoactive Substances Research Unit. She holds a PhD in Pharmacy and Pharmacology from the University of Hertfordshire (2022) and is a full-time psychiatrist at the Villa Mariapia Psychiatric Clinic in Rome, under the supervision of Prof. Martinotti. She also collaborates with the University of Chieti on various academic projects and coordinates research initiatives such as the VESPA study.
Her educational background includes a Medical Degree (2010) and a Psychiatry specialization (2016) from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, followed by a Master's in Forensic Psychology and Criminology (2018) from LUMSA University. Her research focuses on drug safety, pharmacovigilance, and the non-medical use of prescribed drugs, with additional expertise in forensic psychology and neurobiological studies related to addiction.
