Stefania Capogna is an Associate Professor at Link Campus University in Rome and Coordinator of the Master's Degree Course in Technologies and Languages of Communication (LM-59). She concurrently serves as Honorary Professor at M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan State University and Teaching Fellow at the University of Klaipeda. Her roles include founding and directing the Research Centre Digital Technologies, Education & Society and the magazine Quaderni di Comunità. She is also a member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Education, Research, Development and Policy and part of the Center for Research and Services for Innovation, Education, and Lifelong Learning at the University of Roma Tre.
Capogna holds a PhD in Social and Organizational Systems and Public Policy Analysis (2004). Her research focuses on the social impacts of digital transformation, empowerment policies, and the interplay between education, organizations, and communities. Key themes include digital healthcare innovation, educational governance, and the ethical dimensions of technology adoption. She has led multiple European projects, including the ECOLHE Erasmus+ initiative, and published extensively on digital pedagogy, e-leadership, and sociological analyses of education systems.
Her work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing the centrality of human agency in navigating digital transitions. Recent publications explore AI’s role in student professionalization, digital teaching strategies during the pandemic, and cross-border educational policies. She has authored monographs like Habitus. Tra destino e progetto (2021), which engages with Bourdieu’s concepts in contemporary educational contexts.
